That's a lotta first rounders on one team

nll.com is reporting that Philadelphia has signed first round draft pick Geoff Snider to a deal, and he will be in the lineup when they play Edmonton tomorrow night. This means that Philly has no less than four first round draft picks from last year's draft on their team: Snider, Athan Ianucci, Ian Llord, and Kyle Wailes. If they all pull a Sean Greenhalgh and kick ass in their first year, the Wings will be force to reckon with, but that would be expecting an awful lot. Next year though, or the year after that... even if it takes some of them a year or two, watch out for the 2008 or 2009 Wings.

In case you are wondering, Mike, Kerri and I all picked Ianucci, nobody picked Llord (presumably because he's a defenseman), and I'm the only one with Wailes. I also have Greenhalgh, along with Kerri.

After week 3, you will be able to make substitutions of players who have not played in any games, so if you have any such wild card players, feel free to replace them with Snider. A word of warning though — the NLL.com article I linked to above mentions nothing about Snider's scoring ability, just his prowess with face-offs and loose balls.
