Todd is our regular season winner for 2011! Congrats Todd, and congrats also to Mike for finishing second and winning Q4. Our four quarterly winners (Faisal, Kerri, Liam, and Mike) are already paid for the playoff pool, as is Lynda for finishing last in the regular season pool.
We had a record 13 people in this year's pool. At $20 each, that's $260. The quarterly winners got $20 each, so that leaves $180 for prizes. First place wins 75%, or $135, and second wins $45.
I'll get the pool ready for the playoffs this week, but you won't have much time to make your picks - the first game is Saturday night at 7:30pm. East matchups are Buffalo vs. Boston and Toronto vs. Rochester, while the west is Calgary vs. Colorado and Minnesota vs. Washington. Winners of the two East games play each other as do the winners of the two west games, and then those winners meet for the Championship the weekend of May 13th-15th.
A reminder that the NLL playoffs are single-game elimination, so Mr. Average on a team that plays three games may outscore Mr. Superstar on a team that only plays one.
